Part of being a pool owner is managing the quality of the water. Over time, it’s natural for pool water to evaporate. However, this leaves minerals and contaminants, such as sunscreen, dust and pool-maintenance chemicals, to become more concentrated than normal. This can make it difficult to balance the chemical levels in your pool, which is why it’s important to periodically drain old water and refill it with fresh water. Doing so can be a difficult task for pool owners, which is why Brothers is ready to help.
Like patio furniture and other outdoor accessories, your pool will inevitably get dirty. To keep it clean, you may want to consider letting the Brothers professionals acid wash your pool. This process strips the top layer of plaster to reveal fresh plaster beneath – however this can only be done during the winter months. Pebble pools can be brought back to life with an acid wash.

As a pool owner, every three to five years on average, you’ll need to change the sand in your swimming pool filter in order to keep it working efficiently. Over time, sand loses its roughness, an attribute that makes it good at the filtration process. When sand becomes smooth your filtration system will be less effective, which in turn could cause cloudy water or algae. To avoid this from occurring, Brothers offers sand changes to keep your filtration system operating as it should.
Diatomaceous Earth filters (also knows as D.E. Filters) need to be torn down from time to time. These filters are excellent for keeping your pool clean, which in turn can keep swimmers healthy, but they require maintenance. In addition to backwashing, you need to have a complete D.E. Teardown at least twice a year to get rid of dirt trapped in the filters from the previous year. Brothers is more than happy to disassemble these units, thoroughly clean each grid and check for any cracks or holes that may affect the filtration process. Once everything is done, we will reassemble your D.E. Filters for you so you’re good to go.
You know that your pool filter cartridges need to be cleaned from time to time in order for them to work effectively. When it’s time to do so, Brothers can do the deed. Our professionals know how to rinse any debris from the filter and remove loose particles from the filter’s fabric. Since this is a time-consuming task, we don’t want you to have to do it by yourself.
